Extreme birthday surprise

Gone are the years when I would feel so proud and anxious about celebrating my birthdays. It seems so twisted over these days that I do not anticipate for the day. Yeah, I know it looks so weird but maybe it is not just me having this feeling since nobody likes growing old; we all want to remain teenagers but alas, none of us can stop growth. I couldn’t keep the thoughts out of my mind that my birthday was this August due to the fact that I didn’t want any of my friends or Facebookers asking me how old I was. The very thought continued driving me crazy but couldn’t stop the days from going so fast. The very day had to set its feet in my life and I woke up wishing I was born in December rather than August. I wanted to keep my mind focused on one thing at a time but in vain, ignoring the thought, I prayed and thanked my creator for the New Year. My first caller was Tracy, my cousin at high school. I thought of switching off my cell phone or throwing it away for the day; I did not want to answer the question I was avoiding. At 2:00 p.m, Sasha, a close friend of mine called to inform me of a long lost friend who wanted to meet me. I tried to convince her of how busy I was but she begged for my presence and so I hurriedly dressed up and headed for her place. This was not going to be a surprise because I knew that Sasha wasn’t a fun of surprises. When I arrived at Sasha’s, I recognized the face of her so called pal, it was Joy, our childhood friend who had left for the U.K. Sasha had surprise me. Hold on, had I just forgotten to tell you about my present from Joy? She handed to me a LACE collection hamper, not even words could try to describe how beautiful it is and this was just part and beginning of the day’s surprises, this was awesome! Ends
