Girl child protection is vital

Editor, In the Tuesday issue of The New Times, I was pleased to read the article titled.  “Teenage girls acquire skills in fighting abuse”. Girls were for long neglected and exposed to abuse, due to discriminatory traditions among the traditional communities. However, the Government in close partnership with various organizations stepped up campaigns to empower the girl child.
