African countries should embrace performance contracts

Editor,I commend the government of Rwanda for introducing the performance contracts which, I believe have helped instill a culture of accountability and transparency among government officials.Like Marie Collins put it in her letter in yesterday’s issue of The New times entitled “Ntayombya’s article on Imihigo was spot on”, I too wish that we had this system here in Kenya.
