Local gov’t officials on Ghanaian study tour

At least 10 District Executive Secretaries drawn from each of the country’s provinces and the City of Kigali will, on Sunday, depart for a study tour in Ghana to learn from one of Africa’s best performing countries in the decentralisation process.The visit, which is scheduled for July 17-23 is aimed at facilitating local leaders to have an overview of the best practices from Ghana’s fiscal and financial decentralisation, human resources management, planning, monitoring and evaluation and Local Economic Development (LED).
