Can the opposite sex be best friends forever?

Friends of the opposite sex are God sent gifts. For years, Douglas has been my best friend. The only person I can confide in. We are in the same boat; a dude is your best friend. You share every thought, the darkest secrets plus the ups and downs. You are comfortable around him, a way you have never been with your boyfriend or husband. But does being around each other mean you are having a sexual relationship? It’s Factual that opposite poles attract though there is more to the magnetism than sex, lust, whatever they may call it. A dude hanging around a lady frequently raises public concern but, having the opposite sex for a best friend remains a healthy and happy way of living. Save for the perverted spouses who predict the worst for such companionships! Men and women are diverse in character, apart from a few exceptions. These differences cause friendship and attraction between the two sexes. Like the female are famous for being jealous, bitching about friends or betrayal, while men are competitive, have an eye for the same girls and often care less. Meanwhile, opting for a best friend with different temperaments is such a brilliant idea. If friendship is giving and caring all we can, then opposite sex is the best way to go. See how biological brothers look out for their sisters, or son-mother relationships. It’s only natural that men want to care for women and the opposite. I prefer a best friend who calls every 30 minutes than one who calls once in a month to gossip about a friend’s new car. If trust ever happens, we owe it to male-female friendships. It’s a no dude hobby to tittle-tattle about the best friend while logically; no girl would stand losing a golden friendship because of their uncontrolled mouth. Friends of the opposite sex give emotional support. Isn’t it great being sure someone will always be there for you? Someone to hug or pat your back when things go wrong, one who will not pretend about any situation. Perverts often relate emotional support to lust. For crying out loud, doesn’t sex divert the whole friendship thing? It’s a common male confession that they hold less value for ladies who give into lustful desires with no commitment involved. On the other hand, girls consider sex with best friends an exit for friendship. There is a fine line between friends with benefits and best friends. Friends with benefits are united by needs while best friends want to look out and care for each other. Well, feelings maybe born along the way, but that’s why we are people; we seeks out solutions before things get out of hand. After all we are better than chickens, goats or bulls that don’t control their lust at all. Anyway, who says marrying a best friend would be bad, if all goes well? Friendship between opposite sex is often tainted by people with a hidden agenda. If that best friend you thought at some point would catch a grenade for you turns out to be the worst stalker, he/she obviously joined the friendship boat with different motives. Because nosy people create second thoughts about having the opposite sex for best friends, you will feel awkward, yet there is nothing wrong. Do I need to remind you that friendship is of the two of you? Two is company and three obviously a crowd; third parties should never take the decision. Otherwise, you might end up losing the best person in the world.
