Women are strong beings

Even though most men won’t admit it, women literally run this world. Men depend on us in every way humanly possible. It really doesn’t matter who came from whose body or whose fist can cause more damage. Women long earned their place as equals even though I don’t quite understand what makes some men think we were never equal in the start. Some men think because Adam came first that gives them the right to be arrogant and disrespectful toward women. There are those who trash and dismiss everything a woman says or does as rubbish even when deep down he knows she deserves some credit for it. The second she says she’s going to try her hand for instance at a business; he laughs his head off to the point of almost wetting his pants. He will go on to be the biggest pessimist the world has ever seen and insist that she is wasting her time and that she will fail, miserably on top of that! I don’t know what gives some of these men the impression that women are weak, helpless little beings because from everything I can gather, it’s the exact opposite. Let me kindly explain that. Why do you think men weren’t given the burden of child bearing? People; God is an immensely wise individual and he knew that these brothers of ours could not handle such a situation. Sure they would like to think they are tough and can withstand anything but I would give anything to have one man undergo those contractions and see all hell break loose! When it comes to the workplace, women have to work twice as hard just to be taken seriously even though chances are really high that they are 100 times more competent than their male colleagues. Women are usually ‘let off’ the more serious work issues simply because they are women. Maybe times are currently changing and more women are claiming their rightful places in society but the fact remains they had to work extra hard for it and it really isn’t fair. Why should a woman put in 150 percent where a man only puts in 80 percent? Yes, it’s great to work hard but why must I work extra hard to be considered equal to some man and not rated on the output of my work? In fact, even more disgusting is that many men do not believe that a woman can make her way to the top without sleeping her way there! It’s either that or her looks got the better of the boss and what do you know? She’s now CEO or Managing Director! They never consider the possibility that she was actually qualified for the job and that it had nothing to do with her superstar looks or private parts for that matter! The simple truth is several men lie to women and say that they take us as equals yet deep down they feel they still run the world. Even in their homes when the lady is taking care of things, the kids and his ungrateful self too, they still think they run things because he pays the bills. That is his responsibility as is yours with running the home to his very approval. If you really want to see a male ego crushed, tell your man you make more money than he does. It’s shocking how someone can react when faced with even the simplest issue. You would think a man would just be happy for his woman and look at it as having an independent woman who will not dot on his every penny but no; instead things get personal. I am really not exaggerating this but some men even go the length of asking their partners not to speak in public lest she says something stupid even though her Masters in Mechanical Engineering or the fact that her friend’s call her a walking Encyclopedia, suggests anything but stupid. Women like men who take pride in them and believe that they will succeed in whatever they pursue in life. So if you are one of those who think women are liabilities, then I suppose you are referring to the woman who raised you as well and should therefore do yourself and other women a favor, drop the whole idea of dating and stay single. Give women the respect they deserve and they will give that respect right back. Remember respect is earned. Women are much stronger than otherwise perceived. rachelgaruka@yahoo.co.uk
