City school to construct Genocide memorial

KIGALI - Lycee de Kigali Secondary School (LDK) has embarked on a project to construct a memorial centre in honour of its students and teachers killed during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.The monument will also act as a documentation centre on the Genocide.Speaking to The New Times on phone yesterday, the headmaster of the school, Martin Masabo, said they plan to equip the memorial with information on the Rwandan Genocide and other genocides.
