The first time I smelled a good scent in the name of a perfume was from my elder brother who loves perfumes and everything to do with fashion. His signature perfume then was Hugo Boss. Many a time I would go to him and ask him to splash me some of his perfume, and I would go asking everyone if they smelled anything. My mother would send me to remove my clothes for fear that I would get an asthma attack because of the strong smell, but I stayed put wanting to enjoy myself smelling good. Over thirty years down the line, my children do the same to me when am wearing any of my favourite perfumes which include Kenzo jungle-elephant by the famous designer Kenzo Takada, Channel no. 5 by the lovely fashion legend Coco Chanel and White diamonds by the famous Elizabeth Taylor. In the fashion world, it will be incomplete for a person to be in sync with fashion without the perfume. The fragrance from your body complements and adds to your personality. So you should be very careful in choosing your perfume and cologne. The perfume that you use should be attractive and not repulsive. The choice of your fragrance should correlate with a person’s skin. It should not be too strong or inappropriate to you .It is therefore very important to be very cautious during selection. It is true that different brands of perfume and cologne have their own specialty. Some are quite strong and others are quite soft. You must be aware of the occasion and then make a selection. Contrary to what some people do, perfumes should be worn only after taking a shower or bath when your skin is fresh and smooth. The softness of your skin will help to absorb the fragrance more thoroughly. Because at this time the pores of your skin are more open which helps the fragrance to get into the skin. Apply the perfume and cologne to your neck, elbow, behind the thigh etc. This is because the blood circulation is much faster and warm. This will help to absorb the fragrance faster. When it comes to choosing a good perfume, do not be rash while making the selection. The perfume that you select should blend with your natural body smell. It should be soft and subtle and not overpowering. This will add to your personality. It will help you to associate with people easily. When you go to the store see that you choose only those perfumes that your body is comfortable with. Check your choice by spraying on your body. See that you don’t spray too much perfume. This will not give you the exact fragrance. Because too much of the perfume will be a mixture which can be given to different fragrance. Before you make a final choice, spray on your body and see for one day. This will help you to know whether the perfume has a bad reaction to your body and also will tell you how long it lasts. If you find that it is good and blends with your body go for it. It is also advisable to have more than one bottle of perfume because having more than one distinctive smell adds to your character and personality. Ends
