Etincelles introduce fan registration, season-ticketing

Rwanda Premier League side Etincelles FC have introduced a platform to allow supporters to only register but to also pay their membership contributions. The membership registration of supporters follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the club and Esicia Lt, a Rwandan-based company that specializes in the software development and system integration, from which the latter agreed to establish a digital platform of recording all Etincelles FC fans in the country via its platform. “We are trying our best to reach out to every Etincelles fan countrywide and request them to register on this newly-introduced platform as well as use it regularly in the club’s interest,”club Executive Committee member, Thabit Habineza, told Times Sport. Habineza said that, by registering via the platform, the club will be able to categorize its supporters, monitoring their contributions as well as help Etincelles FC supporters living abroad to easily make their contributions wherever they are. Etincelles is one of the most supported teams in the country and in their hometown Rubavu in particular. However, there are no numbers that justify how big the club fan base is. As a result, effective Wednesday, March 8, Etincelles supporters can start registering by pressing *508*7# and follow the prompts. Every supporter who registers via the platform is charged Rwf300. “The biggest asset we have, at Etincelles FC, is the fans and that is why we set up this system to register them, get to know them so we can do proper planning based on the number of our fans that we have, especially beginning with next season,'' explained club president Enock Ndagijimana. The club is also set to introduce a season-ticketing system where, beginning with the 2023/24 season, supporters will be able to buy tickets for the entire season. “The season-ticketing system is still under a review by the club management and our main sponsor Rubavu District but, starting next season, fans will be able to buy season-tickets on our club website,” He added. Etincelles will be the third Rwandan club to officially introduce season-ticketing after Rayon Sports and Kiyovu Sports.
