France-based combo guard Pierre Thierry Vandriessche has signed for Rwandan basketball side Kigali Titans for one season. Titans’ president Eugene Rubonera confirmed the signing to Times Sport noting that the player arrived in Rwanda on Monday night. Vandriessche, 22, most recently played for Rwanda Energy Group (REG) during the 2022 Basketball Africa League and was part of the Rwandan team that played the FIBA World Cup qualifiers in Senegal in 2022. In February, the team added Spanish power-forward Álvaro Calvo Masa who played for Burundian basketball outfit Urunani in the qualifiers of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The Kigali Titans were promoted to the topflight league last season after winning the 2021/22 second division basketball championship. The club finished the first round of the basketball league sitting fifth on the table with 19 points after eleven games from which they won eight and lost three.
