Man Utd deserve Premier League title

When you look at the performance from all English Premier League clubs, there is no doubt that Manchester united and Sir Alex Ferguson deserve to be champions. At the start of the 2010/2011 season, Chelsea were the run away favorites and Manchester United looked to have their weakest squad in years as they underwent a rebuilding faze. It is now 9 months since the league started and United look home and dry as far as the league title is concerned, as they need just a point from their remaining two games. Miracles do happen in football, and United can possibly lose their remaining two games but the likelihood of Chelsea winning their remaining two fixtures is in jeopardy as well. Manchester United has 99.8 percent possibility of being crowned champions. They will face a stiff test at Blackburn this weekend and only need a draw to win the title. Even if United lose at Blackburn, they will still have chance to look for a point against Blackpool on the last day of what has been a fascinating Premier League campaign. United have enjoyed a successful season, putting in some good performances and scoring plenty of goals. Sir Alex Ferguson’s men produced an organized and clinical display of football in their masterful 2-1 victory over their nearest titles rivals, all but end Chelsea’s hopes of retaining their title. The excitement on the match was set at the beginning as Carlo Ancelotti’s’s men conceded an early goal and put up pressure for an equalizer. Red Devils’ side absorbed the pressure and looked to kick about on ultra quick counter attacks. Chelsea’s constant string of short and long passes just as before neglected to penetrate the two banks of five and four red shirts that face them. Ferguson’s tactics worked a treat as United twice scored to break Chelsea’s resistance. Against Chelsea, United were very energetic and direct, whereas their counterparts were anchored with the lazy blend of central defenders who both seemed content to casually jog around the pitch and slow the play down each time a chunk of urgency was needed. When Chelsea did have the ability to pierce the rearguard, led superbly from the brilliant Nemanja Vidic plus the experienced Rio Ferdinand, the Blues found Edwin van der Sar in outstanding form. When you look at the performances of all leading Premier League clubs, there is no doubt that Manchester United have been the more consistent. Wins against Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and emphatic win against Manchester City was the greatest turning point for United title race. Though they lost to Arsenal, United proved well on course with a three point lead and proved stronger contenders after shooting down Chelsea. Another factor that has aided United success this season is the limited injuries to key players this season as compared to the previous season. At one point last season, United had nine injuries including most of their formidable defenders.
