Rwanda Private Sector Federation (PSF) has joined the Business Member Organisations (BMOs). This was after signing a memorandum of understanding with the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and Confederation of Danish Industries (DI). The memorandum of understanding was signed by John Bosco Kalisa on behalf of the PSF and a two man delegation from KAM and DI/DANIDA. They were identified as Moses Kiambuthi, an executive officer at KAM and David Barnekow Erichsen, DI Organisation Development Consultant. The move is to create a solid regional and international network to jointly address business challenges, create useful business contacts and also share best business practices. BMO will be supported by Danida (Danish International Development Agency). DI will work on a project to establish a network of BMOs in ten East and Southern Africa countries. These countries include: Rwanda, Kenya Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, Zambia, Mozambique, Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe. PSF is the only Rwandan institution to partner in the BMOs project. Kalisa was optimistic that the project will empower their capacity building efforts in terms of doing business in Rwanda. He however revealed that the PSF is meanwhile drafting a comprehensive new PSF member services strategy that includes BMOs framework.Ends
