Umurenge SACCO: The best way to fight poverty

In Umurenge Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOs) Rwanda has the best strategy at its disposal to alleviate poverty through promoting financial inclusion for the rural people, a senior official said.“There is no doubt Umurenge SACCOs is the only way to achieve the political commitment of increasing financial inclusion fro all to 80 percent by 2017,” the outgoing central bank Governor, Francois Kanimba, said , Friday, while presiding over a ceremony to close a training for SACCO inspectors.
