Is King David School above regulations?

Editor, I would like to ask the leadership of King David Academy in Nyarugunga Sector, Kicukiro District why they allowed 17 senior six students to take on a combination of Physics, Economics and Mathematics (PEM), yet it was not on the listed subject combinations of the Rwanda National Examination Council (RNEC). The school has been in existence for years and the leadership knows quite well that before a combination is taken on, the line ministry has to first approve it. In this case, the school leadership never bothered to follow procedures and went ahead to convince students to take on this combination. Even more shocking was the argument proferred by the headmaster, Brian Kasawuli, that if the examination council failed to solve the issue, the school would opt to help the affected students join other related combinations like Mathematics, Economics and Geography. Yet, when reality dawned three years later, the administration has neither a clear explanation nor solution. Rules should be followed and King David Academy should be held accountable for flouting them. The students paid their money and wasted their precious time.
