Elephants invade farms in Gatsibo

GATSIBO-51 elephants from Akagera National park, Tuesday night destroyed crops in Munini Cell, Rwimbogo Sector in Gatsibo District.According to local officials, the wild elephants destroyed over four hectares of bananas, beans, sorghum and sweet potatoes.The military had to be called in from Gabiro Barracks to chase the elephants back to the park.
