THIS COMING SUNDAY, comedy lovers will see the performance of various comedians in the one-man show which will be headlined by the renowned comedian Patrick Rusine, at Camp Kigali. The comedy show dubbed “Inkuru ya Rusine,” will take place on August 28, and is being organised by Arthur Nation, which also organises Seka Live, an annual comedy event that has successfully established a big name in the comedy scene. Preparations for the event are in high gear and organisers of the event have already announced a line-up of comedians to grace the show. The line-upincludes Zaba Missed call, Fally Merci, Joshua, Ambassador w’abakonsomateri, and Emmanuel Mugisha commonly known as Clapton Kibonge. During the interview with The New Times early this month, Rusine revealed that he is excited, arguing that not only because it is his first time but also the fact that it has never been done by any comedian of his generation. “Only comedians Arthur and Seburikoko have staged a one-man show and being the next comedian to do so is both an honour and frightening,” Rusine said. In addition, Rusine disclosed that he will have a full-hour performance, something he pointed out that makes him a bit nervous arguing it is the first time. However, he believes as usual, he will give the audience a special and unique performance. “I have been preparing well for my performance so I hope comedy lovers will come to support me and enjoy a fun-filled experience with plenty of jokes in store for them,” he adds. The funny man last performed at Seka Live in May, and left revellers laughing throughout his time on stage. Rusine stole the show and outshone all the comedians on stage. Tickets to the ‘Inkuru ya Rusine’ show are already on sale on the RG consult website; ordinary tickets go for Rwf5, 000, Rwf10, 000 for VIP and Rwf15, 000 for VVIP.
