Yes, lawyers are the custodians of the law
Editor,I wish to respond to James Torero’s letter that appeared in yesterday’s issue of The New Times arguing that the lawyers are considered to be the custodian of the law in our societies. It’s sad when lawyers turn into violators of the laws they are supposed to protect.I remember one case that happened in Kigali in 2009, where a city lawyer was arrested trying to bribe a judge at Kagarama Court of Lower Instance in Gikondo.
