I know there are many challenges still to confront, but if ever a nation gives one confidence that you can collectively beat them, this one does, so to me it’s a great privilege to be here,” he said. According to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lt. Gen. Charles Kayonga, Sir Richards’ visit was to foster the cooperation between the two armies. “He came to visit us because our army maintains a cordial relationship with the UK army. We work together in many areas including military training and it’s this good relationship we all want to maintain,” Kayonga said. The CDS said that Sir. Richards visit follows that of his predecessor and it’s that past good relations that he is also looking forward to maintain. Lt.
