Kigali Marriott Hotel has hired Rossano Renzelli as the 5-star hotel’s new certified culinary chef. Renzelli was born and raised in Rome, Italy. The Italian chef has a long and very interesting career and his culinary skills range from European, Mediterranean, Arabic and Caribbean to Indian cuisines. He started his culinary journey in 1987 at the young age of 17. In his 36-year-career, Rossano has been working in Italian kitchens where he climbed the ladder from an apprenticeship Chef position to Executive Chef. His Marriott career brought him to hotels such as Courtyard by Marriott Kuwait, Jamaica Renaissance, Marriott St. Kitts Resort & Royal Beach Casino, Westin Hotel Mumbai Garden City, Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, and finally Westin Hotel Bali Indonesia where he was before joining Kigali Marriott Hotel. Besides various hotel openings, Rossano has gained several accolades including a culinary art diploma, the HACCP Certificate, N.R.A. International certificate, AAA/Triple Diamond Food Award for Italian Restaurants, and various other awards for best Italian Restaurants. His international culinary experience coupled with his undeniable passion for food, creativity & detail-oriented skills will be essential to take the Kigali Marriott culinary experience to new heights.
