Relationships : When little things matter

Certainly your relationship is not at the same stage as it was when you first met. Maybe your mind is going crazy about how to make it work. At this point, it’s certain that your man is fed up and he cannot wait to call the once most adorable love you both built quits. Scratch not your head, just look at those little things that made your world a paradise at the humble beginning of your relationship. Little things matter because they are everything that keeps love burning. I once knew a lady called Dorris (not real name) who was in a long distance relationship. Every morning at 5:00 a.m, it had become a routine that she spoke to her boyfriend who lived in Kenya before they headed to work. Unfortunately, Dorris broke up with her boyfriend just because they had spent a week without communication. Forgetting to make a phone call may be a simple matter that any true lovers would get past, however, that is not the case because little things count in any relationship. Go back to the last heated argument you had with your spouse. Perhaps he never turned down the toilet seat or you forgot to hug him goodnight—the fact is that a routine act caused the fight. Ignoring such little things can drive a wedge between the loveliest couples. Therefore, if you are to revive intimacy and love in your dying relationship, your acts should not go without these little but important big acts. They are big because as much as they seem minor, these acts will undoubtedly keep your love ablaze. Women need to know that men become robust when showered with attention. When taken care of, they become inspired to will shower you with love. On the contrary, anything as small as changing their favourite TV channel can make them turn cold towards you. Men want the security of knowing that they are important and useful in a woman’s life. Naturally, men love being recognized for who they are. Just reminding him of how important he is in your life will make your man love you more because you appreciate him. The most stone hearted man will be moved by a genuine statement like, ‘I love you.’ Feeling loved is one thing and hearing someone mention it is another. ‘Thank you’ and ‘I am Sorry’ are too important to be ignored. Remember the special days in your life. Is his birthday or the day he got promoted at work jotted down in your diary? Women take it for granted that men never mind the passing of such days however, a little gift or the acknowledgement of such special days will further cement your love.
