Choose realistic resolutions. Your chances of achieving your goals are better if theyre realistic. Sometimes your resolutions are a result of the need to amend behavior or ways that were not good in the previous year; or you may want to fulfill inspiring dreams. Try breaking your goal into more manageable, realistic goals that are achieveable. Dont try to change many different things at once. You will end up not accomplishing any of your goals. This leaves you feeling disappointed and defeated. It’s important to focus on a few major goals and the steps you need to take to reach them. Do one thing at a time.Write out a plan on how you will achieve your goals. Writing down your resolutions and the steps youre going to take can be very motivating. It will help you make your goals precise and easy to accomplish. Set small and attainable goals. However, this does not mean don’t aim for big goals—make measurable results along the way. For instance you could decide to change your reading strategy to pass exams and improve your grades.Make your goals known to people close to you. Informing your friends and family about your goals means that you will have people to support you along the way. Your goals will also seem more real if you talk about them, rather than keep them to yourself. Keep track of what you want to achieve. Get everything you need to help achieve your resolutions, to avoid easy excuses. Sticking to your resolutions is much easier when you have back-up. For example try to find a group in your school that has put emphasis in the subjects where you are weak, meet them on a regular basis.
