Famous gospel singer Prosper Nkomezi, will on February 12 perform in the Southern Province alongside other artistes in a concert dubbed “Live Concert in Huye” which will take place in the auditorium of University of Rwanda, Huye campus. Nkomezi is known for different songs of worship and praise of God such as ‘Nzakomeza’, ‘Urarinzwe’, and ‘Ibasha Gukora’ among others. The ‘Nzayivuga’ hitmaker told The New Times that he decided to perform in Huye after receiving many invitations to perform there. “I spent a long time thinking about doing a concert there, mostly we are focused here in Kigali and elsewhere, but there are fans who want us to perform and with many invitations, we saw people who are thirsty.” In addition, he disclosed that the concert is not just for students only but everyone will be allowed to attend saying that he hopes that there will be people who accept Christ . He will perform alongside, Christian Irimbere and a couple of Papy Clever and Dorcas. Nkomezi recently held a major concert in Kenya. Tickets are already on sale with students’ entrance fee is Rwf3, 000 for early birds and Rwf4, 000 at the gate while others will pay Rwf5, 000 for a regular ticket and Rwf10, 000 for VIP.
