WESTERN PROVINCE RUSIZI — Two suspected armed robbers, Boniface Murenzi, and Jean de Dieu Zikuzwe, were on Thursday August 23, arrested in Nkungu sector of Rusizi district by police authorities. According to Rusizi Acting District Police Commander, Celestin Kamari, the culprits were involved in a series of armed house and motorcycle robberies. “The two thugs were arrested at around 1.pm in Nkungu sector by our policemen after getting a tip-off from some one that they were in that area because they have been on the hunt since last months over their illegal acts particularly robbery crimes” Kamari said. He added that the trapped culprits were together with other five robbers whose whereabouts are not yet known. Murenzi was also arrested last year in June together Peter Bwariya after robbing several house property and injuring residents in Kamembe sector and were released in early December last year, according to Kamari.Ends
