Midfielder Yannick Mukunzi has returned to full training with his Swedish third tier side Sandviken IF after sixteen months out of action through injury. The Rwanda international was stretched off with a knee injury in the first half of his side's 3-1 defeat to Taby in the Swedish third tier league on October 23, 2021 and has not played a game ever since. He had surgery in November 2021 and started physical exercise in September 2022 after being offered a new contract. He is now in the final stage of the recovery as he has joined his team mates in the first team training session.
