It might be found on be the Bujumbura’s most happening street - at night. However Hotel Botanika is a whole new ball game. The restaurant bears a cozy ambiance, jazz music playing among in the background while candles and exotic flowers decorate the tables. Clients quietly chat by the walls adorned with the world’s jazz greats – a common theme for classy Bujumbura joints. The food is out of this world! Botanika offers excellent choice of fresh, international cuisine which can be French, Belgian or carrying heavy local influences coupled with a professional service, and intimate ambiance with a good drinks menu too. The Botanika is a charming retreat from the rigors of life in Burundi. Its few spacious boutique style rooms are all come equipped with huge beautiful bathrooms and plumbing and electricity that actually work. They contain a mini bar - refrigerator with cold sodas and DSTV. Four-poster beds complete with mosquito net for the malaria adverse, round off the atmosphere, making this the residence of choice in town. The rooms in addition have a separate alcove with a table and several chairs. The restaurant does a tin foil oven bake that is surprisingly tasteful and filling. Laundry is done for guest freely, Botanika is located in the heart of Bujumbura’s nightlife, just opposite the most happening bar and club in Bujumbura called Havana. Transport by taxi, Tuk tuk or motorcycle is available right at the entrance and is easily accessible for 24 hours in a day. Ends
