An unsmiling spouse causes misery in the home

Contrary to the nice captivating smiles, which the married couples show on the wedding day, some spouses wear deadly looking faces in their homes thereafter. By so doing, they cause their homes and families as a whole to be miserable like them. Unknown to them, a smile brings happiness to the home, wonderfully cultivates love, promotes repentance and forgiveness between one another and encourages family members to want to stay home during most of the time they are at leisure. This is because they find delight in being home. They tend to miss it wherever they are. Conversely, a home where a spouse or couple does not smile, family members tend to avoid it. They force themselves to be elsewhere they can smile, laugh and feel good. For, if happiness lacks at home, it does not lack elsewhere. There are lots of places almost in every village and every town where one can find smiling people to talk to and feel happy. Psychology has it that people who do not smile suffer from notional battles in their heads which they tend to be in the process of fighting or battling every time they are not smiling. In fact such people are considered to perceive the world the other way round or upside down. They tend to feel hurt notionally always seeing themselves with something they might fight and solve everywhere they are. They tend to be misery ridden and carriers of the same wherever they are. Consequently, they have a contagious condition that spells misery everywhere they are. They tend to think negatively. The majority of them suffer from superiority or inferiority complex. Some are haunted by the bad things they did in the past such that they think about them all the time thus look miserable and sad all the time too. They tend to live in the past instead of the present. Some wrongly think the world has come to an en end because of what they are going through. Instead of positively working out solutions, they surrender and succumb to the threat of the problem. It is high time such people know that no situation is permanent. Only God is permanent. They should comfort themselves by declaring to themselves, “so what?” and move on instead of surrendering or succumbing to the situation. Spouses who do not smile should start learning to smile to let the family be homely and happy instead of being miserable. Otherwise they will slowly lose the closeness and real love of their partners in the home. No husband or wife is ready in this age to spend the rest of his/her life miserably. Likewise no relatives or friends will want to come to miserable homes even for five minutes except when a bad thing has happened and would only come to avoid being blamed for not coming. A marriage can break due to the offended spouse finding another member of the opposite sex outside who gives him or her, the smile he or she misses in the home.Let it be known that a smile has the power to disarm an offended person in front of you in case he/she had to fight you or overreact. It has also the power to cause someone to say, “yes” where he/she would have said “no”. It can cause someone to give you a lift when stranded in a wilderness or on a highway and can also cause you to be offered a job during an interview and even be promoted at your workplace. You are also considered modern and decent when you smile. You are considered the opposite when you do not smile.
