Rwanda Energy Group (REG) Women’s Basketball Club has set up a playoff date with The Hoops, having topped this year’s league table while The Hoops finished in fourth place. The playoffs tipoff on August 26. As usual, the playoffs will feature the four teams that finished in the top four places of the league. Here, the team that finished in first place will be up against the one which finished in fourth, while the one that finished in second place will play against the one that finished third. This year, REG, The Hoops, APR, and IPRC Huye. REG will take on The Hoops, while APR will play against IPRC Huye. At the semifinals stage, the teams will play in a “best of three” format, however, the finals will be played in a best of five format. Men’s semis In the men’s semi-finals, Patriots will play against Tigers, while REG will take on APR in a best of three semi-finals that will take place between the 26th to the 31st of this month at Kepler University court and Aiper-Nyandungu court. The finals will take place between the 7th to 16th of next month at the BK Arena. The playoff winner will represent the country at the BAL 2023 in men category while the women winner will represent the country in FIBA Africa Zone V Club Championships.
