The French man, who is preparing the team for January’s Caf U-17 championship has told the youngsters to strive at reaching the semi-finals. “It’s very vital for us to reach the last four in the Caf U-17 championship because that is the only avenue of reaching the World Cup,” Tardy pointed out after Tuesday’s 1-0 victory over Kairouanaise. Andrew Butera is also delighted after scoring his first goal for the country. The Proline academy striker netted the winner against Kairouanaise and said, “It is good to finally get on the score sheet. I hope to score more in the coming games.” This afternoon, the junior wasps face Sfaxien club’s U-20 in Sfax in what is their fourth warm up game. The three-week training camp in Tunisia is aimed at fine-tuning the team ahead of January’s tournament which will be jointly held in Kigali and Rubavu. The event is slated to run from January 8-22.
