UPCOMING gospel artist, Alfred Kwizera lands on the cover for the latest issue of the Sunday magazine. Kwizera, better known as Alfred, is a Rwandan recording gospel artist. His debut single ‘He’ll Never Leave Me’ put him in the limelight in the early 2000s. The 22-year-old did not have aspirations to have a musical career as a child due to his shyness, until other people started noticing he sounded good. Alfred recognized his vocal abilities at a teen age. Reluctant to sing, he began performing with encouragement by friends and family in High school. He is a Born Again Christian. Alfred believes that true praise and worship will change Rwanda when Rwandans come together in one accord and worship God in spirit and in truth. According to him, true praise and worship is a matter of the heart which helps in understanding the power of God. Concert Alfred is scheduled to launch his debut album dubbed ‘Humura Nshuti’ on December, 12, 2010. The event will feature local and famous Ugandan gospel musicians, including: Patrick Nyamitari, Columbus, Blessed Sisters, Dominic Nick, and some secular artists. The singer said he looks forward to an explosive concert at the New Life Bible Church, in Kicukiro, venue of the concert, and urged patrons to come in high on faith and expecting the presence of God. Alfred also advised other artistes on the programme, to sing God from their hearts rather than the audience to bring down the power of God throughout the event. Ends
