Rayon Sports head coach Francis Haringingo has expressed his frustration towards referees over disallowing Moussa Camara’s match winning goal during the club’s encounter against Mukura Saturday, January 28, at Huye Stadium. The Blues dropped points after they were held to a 1-1 draw and Haringingo believes his side would be sitting at the top of the table should Camara’s disallowed goal have stood to seal the victory for the visitors. Camara scored Rayon’s second goal in the 47th minute but his celebration was cut short by the referees who ruled him offside, a decision that Haringingo and the rest of the team protested in vain, claiming that the Malian was onside. “We should have won this match, because we scored our second goal and then it was disallowed,” Haringingo lamented in a post-match briefing. “Camara was two meters clear away from the offside but that’s how football is, so we have to adapt to situations like that,” he added. Rayon Sports, who sit on the fourth position on the top flight league table with 32 points, will return to action on Sunday, February 5, where they will host rivals Kiyovu Sports.
