Former Bugesera FC gaffer Etienne Ndayiragije has been appointed as the new head coach of the Burundian national team, Intamba mu Rugamba.
Ndayiragije’s appointment comes just two weeks after the Nyamata-based club showed him the exit door due to poor performance.
According to a statement released by the Burundian football governing body (FFB) on Wednesday, the tactician signed a two-year contract after he agreed to coach all categories of the national team, from junior team to the senior national team.
Ndayiragije previously handled the Tanzanian national team, Vital' O FC in Burundi, Azam FC in the Tanzanian league as well as Rwandan outfit Bugesera FC.
