AAR in health insurance partnership with ‘La Croix du Sud’ Hospital

AAR Health Services, a medical insurance company last week entered into a partnership with La Croix Du Sud Hospital under which the two institutions will work together. The two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) after which Frank Tindyebwa the General Manager of AAR reiterated his company’s firm commitment to provide quality healthcare to its expanding clients by ensuring that they all have access to the best available facilities and services whenever they are in East Africa. He further went on to clarify that “AAR clients can now channel all their maternity requirements to Dr Nyirinkwaya’s hospital without having to worry about cost implications or fear of exceeding their maternity cover limits. This hospital is as good as a one-stop centre for maternity care and we are glad to be working together” AAR is the biggest private healthcare provider in the region having started operations in 1984 in Nairobi, Kenya and in 2005 in Rwanda. AAR is involved in the provision of health services of emergency nature, hospitalisation, routine outpatient, as well as preventative care at AAR Health Centres and accredited preferred providers and hospitals that are in every major town in the East Africa region. On the other hand, La Croix Du Sud Hospital is a privately owned hospital with its origins in Nyamirambo, Kigali. The newly built hospital provides services such as general medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, emergency care, gynecology and obstetrics, maternity, neonatology, dentistry, psychiatry, surgery, internal medicine, physiotherapy and laboratory services. Dr Nyirinkwaya on his part said that his facility is open to all members of the public, though the MoU opens up more areas of co-operation such as continuous medical education and customer care for staff of both institutions. According to Frank Tindyebwa, AAR members will still continue to access services at other accredited providers in Rwanda, East Africa and globally. Ends
