Rachel’s Ramblings : What makes men fall in love?

Why do some men take months to declare their undying love, while others transform into rose-clutching romantics at the slightest flutter of your lashes? Maybe your new underwear, wit and charm go a long way to induce these reactions but most of the initial attraction boils down to good old fashioned chemistry. So what exactly is the secret of a match made in heaven? Weird as it sounds, there is a convincing argument that men go for women who look like their mothers. As children, were so used to seeing our parents faces that once we become adults, were attracted to people with similar traits. The natural scent, No, I’m not talking about your sweet smelling Chanel perfume, I’m talking pheromones. These are the chemicals released by your body that govern attraction between men and women. If your genes are too similar, you wont smell nice and he wont fancy you. Even if you have all the physical stuff together, it doesnt guarantee you a happy ever after, as emotions are important too. If you have to struggle to get your man to show you any, it doesnt mean hes not into you! Theres no difference in how quickly or hard men and women fall in love, it’s just that men are less likely to acknowledge it. Reassuringly, more men than women claim to have fallen in love at first sight, at least that’s what I read. Whats more impressive is that when a man thinks about his latest squeeze, the pathways in his brain light up so fast he’s not sure what hit him. Whether it’s your stunning looks or fiery personality or just plain simplicity, men have their reasons or preferences that women sometimes fail to understand; the same way people fail to see what women see in the guys they date! Its not about the looks really, theres more to it.
