Desire Ndushabandi is the Rector of Kigali Health Institute (KHI). He is therefore charged with a range of responsibilities both academic and administrative. He must be a busy man. Below is how he goes on with his typical working day;I wake up at 5:30a.m and listen to BBC, Voice of Africa (VOA) and the National radio for news updates. I also spare time for a simple physical stretch before having breakfast. Immediately after, I drop my children to school and head to my work place. By 7, I am in the office, I check on what I have on the day`s agenda then take a walk around the school. I then attend to people on appointments and respond to various proposals of projects on behalf of the school. Lunch time is when I am free to concentrate since I do not expect any person. In the afternoon, I give time to office work. I work until 6p.m and I either go for a meeting or meet friends to discuss certain issues of interest. At least I get home at 7:30. I refresh myself and spend the evening with my family either listening radio or watching television. I have supper at 9:30 and by 10, I get to bed. Photo G. Mugoyamugoyag@yahoo.com
