Rayon Sports centre back Samuel Ndizeye will be out of action for two weeks after undergoing a successful surgery on his right shoulder on Saturday, January 21. The Burundia international injured his shoulder during Rayon’s 1-0 derby defeat against APR on December 17,2022. He had a successful surgery on his right shoulder yesterday, he will return to training after two weeks from now,” club spokesperson Jean Paul Nkurunziza told Times Sport. We are expecting him to return in one month. It will take him a few weeks to recover but everything regarding his surgery went really well,” he added. Ndizieye becomes the second Rayon player to undergo surgery after Abdul Rwatubyaye who had a knee surgery in December. The Blues’ vice-captain has been in an incredible run of form at the back in the absence of Rwatubyaye and his stellar performances during the league earned him a club’s player of the month in November. Rayon has been struggling with injuries which has cost them some crucial results that left head coach Francis Haringingo sweating over his future at the club. The Burundian tactician is left with limited solution to injuries as his side prepares to return to the Premier League action next week. Eric Mbirizi, Raphael Oliseh, Blaise Nishimwe, Arsene Tuyisenge, and Leandre Onana, are all out injured while Abdul Rwatubyaye has returned to training. He, however, remains a doubt for Rayon Sports’ next match against Musanze on Tuesday, January 24. Rayon sit fifth on the league table with 28 points while their next opponents Musanze finished the first round of the league in ninth place with 22 points.
