Senegal’s representatives at the Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2023, AS Douanes, have secured the services of Americans Terrell Stoglin and Chris Crawford. The BAL 2023 will tips off on March 11 and concludes in May in Kigali. The duo is tested and proven with experience at the continent’s elite club basketball competition, having already played and put up impressive statistics that any club would need to challenge for the title. Stoglin, a point guard, is so far the highest scorer of the BAL since it’s inception in 2021. He averaged 30.8 points per game in the previous edition when playing for AS Sale, while, in 2021, he pulled up an average of 30 points per game. As for Crawford, he is a combo guard capable of playing at positions 1 (leader), 2 (back) and even 3 (winger). During the previous BAL edition, he featured for Guinea’s SLAC and played an important role as they qualified for the quarter-finals. He averaged 21.4 points per game. Last season, he featured for Rwandan giants Patriots during the playoff games of the season where they were defeated by Rwanda Energy Group (REG). Besides Stoglin and Crawford, the Senegalese champions have also recruited young Senegalese international Jean Jacques Boissy, while more signings might come in the near future.
