After a three-week recess, the highly-rated Rwanda Commercial Bank (BCR) monthly mug returns this afternoon.Being a communal work day (Umuganda), the tournament will start at 12:30 till 5pm. Just like previous mug competitions, today’s action will be played on a full course (18-holes) and with stroke play as the mode of play. By press time, 43 golfers had confirmed participation though Kigali Golf Club was optimistic that the number would hit the 45 mark. With two mugs left to wrap-up the 2006-7 season, Kigali Golf Club’s new kid on the block Thierry Ntaganda has set his eyes on a monthly mug hat-trick. Having made his mug debut in March this year, the 14-year-old has won the June and July editions and has not counted out the August edition. “It feels great to win the July mug and today’s performance has motivated me to even aim higher for the August mug,” Ntaganda said shortly after receiving his July mug honours at KGC in Nyarutarama.Ends
