It is shocking that the current violence in a country once seen as a signal of relative stability in East Africa would turn into a genocide of sorts. It is estimated that the Rwandan Genocide left over one million innocent people dead in a period of only a hundred days. Now one will imagine how many will die in the same period if the world is not strict on the current Kenya violence. The media speaks out that since 27 December election in Kenya, more than 600 guiltless people have been killed in the unrest that followed with other 250,000 people who also fled or were driven from their homes. What will now come out in a three-day mass rally ODM that started yesterday? The world must look for an immediate resolution to curb these alarming atrocities on the African land. KANOMBE
