KPMG opens shop in Rwanda

KPMG, a global network of professional firms providing audit, tax and advisory services has entered the Rwandan market where it will provide services across various industry sectors. The launching of KPMG Rwanda, on Thursday at Serena Hotel, will connect Rwanda to a global network of 146 countries employing more than 137,000 people. “KPMG’s audit helps organizations and individuals to achieve their objectives and succeed in the new economy through measuring performance, managing risks and leveraging knowledge,” said John Ndunyu, KPMG Rwanda country leader. KPMG Rwanda office joins Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania which together comprise the KPMG East Africa firm that has 17 partners and over 400 professional staff. KPMG has in the past (since 1998) worked with the Rwandan government to implement the privatization program and modernize Rwanda Revenue Administration to provide the resources required for national reconstruction and poverty reduction.
