Labama Bokota a.k.a Kamana is believed to be considering a move to Europe before March. Speaking to Times Sport, the Amavubi and Rayon Sports striker confirmed the rumors saying that he is currently undergoing serious training as he prepares for the move. “It is true. I have been in contact with my manager who is based in Iceland. My absence at Rayon Sport is meant to help me focus on my trials in Europe not far from now,” Bokota said. However, when asked why he had chosen to keep his move details away from Rayon Sport, Bokota reasoned that the Blues had nothing to do with his transfer since his one-year contract with the club had run out. “My contract with Rayon Sport is done so what happens to me now is my personal business,” the 24-year-old said. Bokota joined the Kigali club last July from DR. Congo’s Kabasha FC.In his debut season, he notched 14 goals helping the Blues to second place finish in the national soccer league and was consequently voted the SMS 2007 footballer player of the year. He also scored a goal and set up another on his debut appearance for the Amavubi Stars in Rwanda’s final CAN qualifier tie against Liberia. Further still, he played an influential role for Rwanda in the just concluded Cecafa senior challenge cup that was staged in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania last year. Bokota scored four goals helping Rwanda to a second spot finish behind eventual champions Sudan.Ends
