The Fire Brigade on Monday morning made a dramatic intervention when it promptly put off a fire that threatened to gut the premises cell phone operator, Tigo, situated at Muhima in Nyarugenge District. According to the police spokesperson, Eric Kayiranga, the ire brigade’s speedy intervention contributed a lot to save the building from being gutted by fire which was caused by a short circuit. “We intervened very fast; within four minutes after being informed about the fire, we were already at the site,” said Kayiranga when contacted by The New Times. He said there were no serious damage was registered. “We didn’t face any serious technical damage, lines are working very well and customers are still served to their satisfaction,” said a member of Tigo management.
