$700,000 needed for neurosurgical centre
Even though the national neurosurgical centre is up and running, it needs medical equipment worth US$700,000 (about Rwf385m) to become an ultra-modern facility. According to Dr Emmanuel Nkusi, the Coordinator of Rwanda Neurosurgical Centre(RNC), at least two vital equipment are needed, including neuro-navigator, which costs about $400,000(about Rwf 220m), and a microscope used in operations, valued at about $300,000(about Rwf165m).
