APR allows Migi do trials with FC Koln

APR and Amavubi Stars midfielder Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza alias Migi has been cleared by his club, APR to go for a two-week trial stint at German Bundesliga side FC Koln. Mugiraneza told Times Sport yesterday the league champions allowed him to go and try his luck in Europe (Bundesliga). He leaves for Cologne this Sunday. “I have a permission letter from APR. I will spend there two weeks on trials. This is my opportunity to go their and show what I capable of, and I’m very confident, I’ll pass the trials because am in a very good shape and ready to impress,” noted the 22-year-old star. When asked whether he could miss Rwanda’s first leg 2012 qualifier away to Ivory Coast, Migi said, “I will play the Ivory Coast game because the letter indicates very well that once am away with FC Koln in trials, they should allow me to honor the Amavubi call for that game.” This will be Mugiraneza’s second trial abroad. In March 2009, Mugiraneza with Haruna Niyonzima went to French club Le Havre after a the Africa Youth Championship held in Kigali and truth of what went on while the pair were there, will never be made public but the players returned home without having trained with the senior team. If Mugiraneza passes Cologne’s trial and he’s signed on, he will join other African footballers like Manasseh Ishiaku (Nigeria), Adil Chichi (Morocco), Rashid Boullal (Morocco) and Angola’s Jose Pierre Vunguidica at the club.
