A ten-member Chinese delegation led by the Vice Mayor of Shenzhen city, Zhuo Qinrui, is set to arrive in the country over the weekend for a four-day working visit. A City of Kigali official who spoke on condition of anonymity said that Qinrui due to arrive on Sunday was invited by the Rwandan embassy in China and the City of Kigali. His visit will explore all possible areas of cooperation (between both countries), especially in areas of investment, information technology, infrastructure and urban planning, the source said. The official said that before their departure on January 16, the delegation would among others, meet with President Paul Kagame. The Chinese mayor is also scheduled to visit the ICT Park in Kigali, where one of China’s big IT companies, ZTE, runs some business. Shenzhen is home to the world’s fourth largest port and it is largely known for advancement in Information, Communication and Technology. Other Chinese cities that enjoy cordial relations with Kigali City include Jinan and Chengdu. Ends
