Tigo rewards best sales team leaders

Mobile operator, Tigo Rwanda, yesterday awarded four of its best sales team leaders with various prizes as a way of motivating them. The sales personnel technically referred to as the sales team, won prizes comprising of three motorbikes, model TVS scooty pep and three 21 inches flat screen TVs. “The campaign of choosing the best sales team leaders was carried out countrywide and this was done with an aim of motivating them,” said Saad Ngabo, Tigo’s Public Relations Officer. Ngabo also said that the awarded sales people have exceeded their targets set by management standards and have shown extraordinary leadership skills, salesmanship and team spirit. The targets were set on activation of SIM cards sold and electronic top up (e-Go) — which is an easy way to top up airtime directly onto a phone without the use of scratch cards. “This practice that we carry out every month and these awards were for the month of June,” said Ngabo. Musangwineza Annick, one of the winners attributes her victory to the advice that she received from her leaders and the continued support she gave to her freelancers enabling them to work hard. According to Musangwineza her target was to sell airtime and SIM cards worth Rwf3 million in June but she was way higher than that, selling products worth Rwf5 million. “I would sell airtime worth Rwf350, 000 every day and 300 SIM cards as well,” said Musangwineza.
