KAMPALA-Youth representatives from 37 African countries have converged in Kampala, Uganda to discuss health and maternal problems that affect the continent, ahead of the African Union (AU) summit. Addressing the conference, Uganda’s President, Yoweri Museveni, urged African youth to adjust their social behaviors if there are to spear head the continent’s economic transformation. “I want to assure you that unless you change your behavior, like engaging in Alcoholism and early sex which can cause AIDS and lead to death, Africa will never develop.” Museveni said. Speaking to The New Times, Urther Mihigo, a delegate from Rwanda, said that the conference has come in right time, when African youth are besieged with many challenges that need to be addressed. “I’m absolutely sure that we as going to benefit from it (the conference),” Mihigo said.
