GATSIBO-One hundred and forty seven classroom blocks will be constructed in Gatsibo District in the second phase of the Nine-year-basic education classroom construction programme. This was revealed by Fredrick Rutebuka, the district director of education, in an interview with The New Times.According to Rutebuka, the construction is at the foundation stage and the necessary materials have been duly provided. He said that is addition to the classrooms, 264 toilet units will be constructed to ensure sanitation in schools. “The construction process is on the right track. We had Umuganda last week where the foundations for classrooms were laid at all sites,” he said. The new structures are expected to address the shortage of classrooms experienced by schools in the district. . Ends
