Relegation-threatened side Espoir FC have parted ways with five players after failing to deliver to the club’s expectations during the first round of the 2022/2023 campaign. The players namely Fiston Munezero, Tresor Byumvuhore, Idrissa Dagnogo, Issa Bigirimana and Senyange are now free agents after the club handed them their release letters on Friday, January 6. Espoir had a torrid run of performance and finished the first round of the league sitting bottom of the table with seven points and Times Sports has established that a host of players are undergoing trials at the club which is looking to revive their squad in their quest to avoid relegation. Ten out of those players are foreigners. The Rusizi-based side is already in talks with Burundian tactician Juma Masudi in an attempt to lure him to coach them during the second round of the league with suspended coach Justin Bisengimana not likely to return to the club's touchline.
