Soccer ALI Bizimana has resigned as coach of Mukura following a woeful campaign this season. The Huye-based side finished eighth in the Primus League and Bizimana says that while it was a step back for the club, he will not be staying to try and put things right. “I have had good and bad times at Mukura. It was not easy with the resources I got but I tried to do my best and I’m glad that despite all the problems we went through, we still stayed in the top flight.” “I think it is time for me to begin a new chapter be it in Rwanda or in the region,” he added. Mukura club president Abraham Ntayandi has now said that the club has started its hunt for a new coach. “He (Bizimana) has resigned and the search is on for a replacement,” said Ntayandi. This season has been a forgettable one as the club has been locked in financial constraints. Last season, Mukura almost ended their trophy drought when they reached the final of the MTN Peace Cup only to lose to Atraco. En route the final, Bizimana’s side had ejected APR at the semi-finals.
