Police FC have completed the signing of forward Muhadjiri Hakizimana as a free agent, on a six-month-year deal.
Rwanda international’s sensational return to the law enforcers comes just six months after he failed to agree on a new deal with Al Kholood FC in Saudi Arabia.
Times Sport tried to reach Police FC secretary general and spokesperson, Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Obed Bikorimana for further details about the transfers but he didn’t pick up our calls on repeated times.
Pundits say Hakizimana’s return to the Rwanda Premier League would be a ‘wise’ move for himself and for the club in giving head coach Vincent Mashami attacking options as he looks to compete for the league title and Peace Cup.
The 28-year-old player has asked to sign a short term contract as he pushes to move back to play outside the country in the summer.
Hakizimana joins the club he previously played for after a season at AS Kigali. He also played for the likes of APR, Mukura, boyhood club Etincelles and Kiyovu Sports.
Police are sitting in tenth place with 21 points, nine behind leaders AS Kigali and second-placed SC Kiyovu. A lot awaits Muhajiri when the second round of the season starts on January 20.
